DJI RONIN-M GIMBAL
The Ronin M is a new and exciting piece of handheld, camera stabilisation technology which has been developed with film making professionals in mind.
The brushless motor gimbal system allows the Ronin-M to be used with a wide range of cameras of different sizes and weights up to a maximum of 3.6kg (8 lbs). It’s the smaller, lighter brother of the highly successful DJI Ronin, which was designed for larger camera setups. It weighs just 2.3kg (5 lbs) which is around half the weight of the Ronin.
The Ronin M is a very adaptable piece of kit. It can be used in three different positions: underslung mode, upright mode and briefcase mode, making it highly adaptable for changing viewpoints and also allowing access in tight locations.
The Ronin-M’s brushless gimbal stabilisation system is not simply three brushless motors moving on three axes. The motors work with positional feedback and the IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to communicate with DJI’s custom 32-bit processor. It processes movement calculations in milliseconds. This reduces angular vibration to less than ±0.02˚ of translated movement, meaning that the camera will remain perfectly steady.
Fast Setup, Efficient Balancing
Save time and start shooting professionally stabilised video in under five minutes. Mount your camera to the Ronin-M, quickly balance it, and then tap a button. The upgraded ATS (Auto Tune Stability) technology is more precise than before and completes the tuning and balancing processes with no tools necessary. Easy and efficient.
Capture tight shots, even when you have almost no space to work, and easily transport your Ronin-M. The top handle bars quickly and easily twist off, allowing you to minimize its size, achieve different shooting configurations, and pack or unpack it in seconds.
